Long Island, New York plastic surgeon Dr. Kaveh Alizadeh obtained his undergraduate degree at Cornell University and then earned his Masters Degree at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He then pursued a Medical Degree from Cornell University Medical College in New York having received the commendation from the Dean. After his surgical internship, he completed his general surgery training at the University of Chicago Hospitals where he also served as Chief Resident in the plastic surgery program. |
Dr. Alizadeh then pursued an additional year of subspecialty training in Cosmetic surgery, Microsurgery and Breast Reconstruction at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has a medical license in both New York and Illinois. Dr. Alizadeh has traveled abroad in an effort to lend his expertise to others, treating patients in central and South America as well as the Middle East. He also directs the teaching curriculum for the plastic surgery residency program.
Dr. Alizadeh has numerous publications and has given extensive presentations on the national and international level. He continues to study new methods in all aspects of plastic and reconstructive surgery and has won awards for his innovative techniques. Dr. Alizadeh is currently Vice Chairman of Plastic Surgery and the Director of Microsurgery at Winthrop University Hospital. He has been featured on Fox cable news, the Discovery Channel, WNBC and WPIX, and in local newspapers.
